Beijing Huaxia Bank located at the south road, Chang-an street, north of office building of "Beijing Daily" press, with a total building area of 64,455m2, main building is 22 floors, the underground 5 floors, the eaves height 81.4m. 

The stone elevation of the project is complicated in form, except for large face stones, the varied shape of cornice are adopted, such as Ionic column, concave and convex lines, fusoid handrail etc.  What ever from design to installation, it possesses definite challenge to quality finish for such European style stone building. For such a complicated project, it is particularly important to ensure reliability of design fixing, when satisfying the outside decorative effect.  Keel beam of external wall stone adopts steel shape material, surface is treated by hot dipped galvanizing, the stone adopts warm grey series granite.  Surface morphology of plate is divided into two kinds, height mark scope: -0.45 ~ 9.6m is mushroom rock, height mark 9.6-20.1, 69.1-72.6m granite plate, the rest height mark are all refaced granite.  The stone thickness: flat plate is 30mm, the arch section is 80mm.  Both piece hung with stainless steel bolts. 

The large face stone adopts familiar short groove stone curtain wall structure in external wall decoration.  The scheme of short groove structure is both economical and on the safe.  The structure possess the following design features:
The stone installation adopts grooving mode on stones, fixed by using stainless steel and hook plate, achieving the purpose at the location of installation.  Transverse and vertical keel beam selects square steel pipe and angle steel treated by hot dipped galvanizing, not only with long performance life, but also strong, rigid, good deformability under wind pressure resistance.  The grooving at the end face of stone can be fabricated in plant, the cushion is tucked between the hook plate and rabbet, as well as sealing with the structural sealant to satisfy the requirement for strength and flexibility.  As the entire stone weight is borne by the bearing plate, the stainless steel material for its corrosion resistant properties, to ensure the lifespan of the structure, security satisfy the service life of whole external wall or even service life of the whole building. 

According to different cornice and subdivision effect, the stone will be fabricated into whole shape and making every effort to reduce the weight of stone panel, the interior supports are individually designed steel frame to the shape requirements, and connected with the main keel beam to form a support system.  The connection of steel frame and stone is also realized by adopting bearing plate made of stainless steel. 

As for the concave-convex vertical line, we adopt divided design through splicing by flat stone panel and square stone bars together.  Splicing means: the hole is opened on relevant position of flat plate stone, the blind hole on square bar, afterwards the cushion is tucked into the hole, secured together with stainless steel pin and structural adhesive. This ensures the seamless contact between the plate stone and square bar.  For the connected turn corner form with smaller dimension, turning place adopts hairline joint, two block stone are connected to form a single unit through stainless steel cramp and epoxy resin adhesive agent, without affecting the appearance of the stone.
