Beijing TV Center locates at No.98, Jianguo Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing, which is a large-scale modern group building, including combined service building, performing building and life service center etc, with total building area of 197,300 m². The height of main body of building is up to 236.4m. 
The building is the operational building for the production of TV program. In order to satisfy the functional requirements of sound insulation effect, each studio and functional room without exception is partitioned by solid wall. However the large facade still adopts the transparent glass curtain wall to embody the transparent ideas stressed by modern media, the aluminium panel curtain wall is adopted on the external wall of the installation equipment and elevators etc. that ensures more rational allocation for whole building materials. 
The unitized curtain wall structure is adopted to finish the concept of the designer in structure design.  Unitized curtain wall structure located at the middle of four elevation, aluminum honeycomb panel is positioned at the four corners of the building, the exposed frame glass curtain wall lies at four outer corners of building, the stainless steel pulling cable point fixing curtain wall is applied on 1-5 floor and 41 floor at the middle of the main body.

Owing to the strong movement capacity for sideslip type structure, to conform to the major structure, and to satisfy both inside and outside view effect of the building, Beijing TV Center without exception adopts sideslip type unitized exposed frame glass curtain wall system on the middle of four elevations.  The application of the curtain wall ensures both the inside and outside view effects and the structural performance are met. The curtain wall is in filled with  8mm +12a+8mmlow-E insulating glasses at the vision, the spandrel of the curtain wall adopts 6mm tempered single glass, with the fire proof board and heat insulation rockwool on the back.

The four corners place of Beijing TV Center adopts honeycomb aluminium panel curtain wall, which is 25mm in thickness honeycomb aluminium panel made up of two layer aluminium alloy thin plates clipping the aluminium alloy honeycomb core in the middle.  Owing to the use aluminium alloy honeycomb core, the plate surface is flat, together with rational system design keeps out of the flexural strain arisen in other metal external wall panel. 

Point fixing type pulling cable structure at 1-5 floor of each elevation
1-5 floor of the elevation of Beijing TV Center adopts point fixing stainless steel cable structure.  The prestressed suspended cable structure formed by way of application of pre-tension is called cable truss.  The adoptive prestress double-layer suspended cable system in the project possesses strong bearing capacity, the supported system constituted by tight steel pulling cable still possesses elasticity, so that the glass is reasonable stressed and secured.

Point fixing glass curtain wall of the 41 floors sightseeing lobby in Beijing TV Center: The steel pipe and pulling cable is taken as the structural support, forming force bearing system of glass curtain wall.  Combining use of steel structure and steel pulling cable gives full play to both material's property, with the good rigidity, wind resistance compression, anti-seismic properties and attractive appearance; the flexibility and elasticity of the steel pipe and pulling cable to external load action make the glass be more rational, more secure when stressing.  It centered both merits of space suspended cable brace type and steel structure brace type, making the point fixing curtain wall tend to be more scientific, rational and secured. 

Turn corner glass curtain wall on outer corner of each elevation
Turn corner place of each elevation adopts l turn corner glass curtain wall.  It adopts exposed frame form, the aluminium alloy extrusions keel beam, without turn corner mullion, glue line with steel bar, strained suspended transverse frame, greatly increasing the stability and aesthetic outside view effect.  In order to ensure security, internal corner aluminum utilised structural adhesion, without affecting the outside view.
